I wouldn't quite go that far, Pete.
My problem with the make-up of the board isn't with who it is (indeed, they are all people I would vote for), but the fact that they were chosen by 1 man, rather than by a free and fair vote from the membership.

Have you read the 'plea' to fans thread on this forum?

Hi All,
Read the other thread, I am still undecided about the whole thing and still have a lack of trust nagging at me. The problem I see in relation to the SC board is that you have too few people juggling too many things and something is bound to give. I do not know the circumstances of the board members so I can only guess, but I would imagine that they have real jobs that pay the mortgage and then jobs they do with Phoenix then added to these they have the job of the SC board member, in my eyes this is a lot to take on board and can be quite stressfull. I do hope that the supporters club is successfull.
Pete

Hi All,
I was approached by Tambo tonight and he informed me that Neil Morris has decided to have four additional board members for the supporters club. These board members will be voted for by members of the supporters club. The club will still be a limited company but the members will all be shareholders and have a vote.
Definately a step in the right direction.
Pete

To do the right thing, that's all we wanted, it now looks like it could work. Its a shame that some people had to tarnish their reputations to get it, but you all know me, anything else you hear from any other sources could be rubbish? best to talk to the intended just to be sure.

Why are some peoples reputations tarnished? In case that doesn't read well over the internet - I'm not arguing - I just wonder what you meant,as I couldn't make the meeting.

I don't think reputations were tarnished! It was a huge concern that needed voicing! Good has come out of it.

Indeed - from what I heard of the meeting - it was people voicing their opinions with a real passion for this club. But obviously I wasn't there to know the full story - so didnt understand your point.

I just thought 'some people' took it all wrong, Mags is right I did have the best intensions and wanted answers. some people wasnt to impressed at the argumental side, and sided with Neil anyway. I did lose it slightly, perhaps see me a the game and I will fill in the details. .

Some people side with Neil whatever the subject no matter what they really think anyways - so I wouldnt worry about that....

From what i can gather, the outcry over the decision of one man to make the Supporters Club a Limited Company from several sections of both fans and sponsors alike has caused quite a U Turn in the last 7 days.
There is still something very wrong in having a not for profit organisation set up as a limited company but for the moment the people chosen to run the supporters club would have my vote wether picked or elected and i will watch closely any developments of the supporters club and its funds starting with the first issue of Stephen Wallace and how much money from the supporters club is going to be used to fund the player as so far as I can tell no figure was given at last weeks meeting ?
