www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=5169076 teams in 3 venues this year. Carolina Hurricanes and Minnesota Wild will play at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, on Thursday, Oct. 7 and Friday, Oct. 8 (This seems like an odd game to pick) Columbus Blue Jackets and San Jose Sharks will play at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, on Friday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9. Boston Bruins and Phoenix Coyotes will play at O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic, on Saturday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 10 Anyone planning on going? After going to Stockholm this season for the Blues v Red Wings, I think I'll try and get tickets for Prague this time round. Love the city and it's only a few hours drive for me. I wonder why they haven't returned to London yet?

very uninspiring line up. I guess they prefer to go to hockey nations maybe! I won't be going, even if they where teams I want to see, rather spend the money going to the US to see them

Hi All,
I know these season openers are to market the NHL worldwide and are quite sucessfull. I believe that the teams involved are less enthusiastic about them so they are restricted to a few games each season. The opener in Japan a few season ago really helped with hockey in Japan. We went to both of the Ducks/Kings at the O2 a couple of seasons ago and enjoyed them, shame there wasn't the atmosphere there is at our games but understandable. I would imagine that because of the games at the O2 in London we will have to wait until it's our turn again.
