Has to be Jaakko, best player in the epl by far. Brits Boothroyd, Lacho, Greg Wood and Wallace.

As you all seem to be going for Jaakko, I pleadge my vote to Ed, without his goals we wouldnt be 3rd, love him or hate his lazy style, he is still class at 42, certain elements, a huge chip on his shoulder and grumpy old man attitude aside, still a top guy with lots of time for anyone! Cheers Ed, You'll be back, I am sure.

I dont hate Ed, or think of him a lazy - Ive been lucky to see him play for other teams over the years at his peak. I just think that Jaakko appeared as an unknown quantity to this league (& country) and has made a hell of a mark in just one season at this club.
Be nice to see Ed get a Testimonial for all he has given the sport over here - at whichever of the clubs that felt they would be able to give him the night he deserves.

Hi All,
If there were to be some sort of recognition of what Ed Courtenay has done in the UK and Northern Ireland, then it should be done by an Elite league team or the Elite league itself as he has only played for about three quarters of the season for an EPL club.
Just let him fade away.

Maybe a idea to make some money would be having the Phoenix hold a testimonial game for Ed as his last playing club in the UK, at the Ice Dome, with players from the teams he has played with making up the sides. Or Ed captaining a team with all his old team mates his previous teams vs the Phoenix in a pre season game ?? least we may make a few quid out of it ?
