Ok. relise why the club use RSD/Rad Sheep/Rhino but as i play rec hockey for blackburn and the RAF i know how much these shirts are to produce (and its not very much) and i would much prefer a higher quality nhl style jersey like the CH jersey we had for the playoffs a couple of years ago. So as this poll is on this forum (not the offical forum) What would YOU prefer?

I no longer collect game worn jerseys & I stopped wearing jerseys to games during the last season of Storm. The only jersey Id still buy would be a game worn Lyle GB one - as that's the only one Ive ever wanted that Ive never owned. Stevie even got his Mum to check his room at home to see if he had one lying about I could have during his time at Storm....
The only Phoenix jersey Ive ever liked was the purple NHL weight sample that Mags had at the playoffs a couple of years or so ago. Ive never sponsored a player jersey of the Phoenix, as weve never had a goalie I thought was worthy of it - Im afraid.

Hi All,
I have never bought a shirt for myself, bought plenty for Simon but now he has the means to buy his own. The only shirt that I have was given to me by Mike Torchia, he gave me his training shirt, infact the only time I have ever worn a shirt to a hockey game was the one he gave me when I went to see him play at Guildford.
The only shirt that I would ever buy would be a Lithuanian away shirt from the national team, but try as I might I have never been able to get one, I even had Phil Pritchard from the HHOF asking for me when he visited Lithuania once. I still keep looking out for where the team are playing in the World Championships to try and get there, one day I will get one and be happy.

We were stopped by the Elite League from having the purple NHL style one.

What reason did they give? Why would they want to stop us?

i loved the elite league purple shirt question - now that we are in another league is there any reason why we cant have that shirt? ? i hate the red shirt - too much like cardiff devils for my liking, and how many times have we actually worn it? ??

I'll probably buy a new jersey each season, purely for the sake of it (unless they are all complete bobbins, which hasn't been the case yet). However, i am another for the side of heavy-weight, high-quality, embroidered jerseys. For the price we're paying (i forgot to get my season ticket discount this year ), these light-weight laser printed things just don't cut it. I have to take Si's word for the production costs, as i have no idea. But i might one day pull my finger out and get him to order me a RAF one that is lazered, and at just over half the price of the current Phoenix jerseys, that seems a total bargain. I do realise the Phoenix club have much larger overheads than the RAF teams, but that doesn't alter the fact that my wallet prefers a £36 shirt to a £60 shirt of the same general build-quality. So i'm afraid i'd have to go with the NHL-style, embroidered jersey. And i reckon game-worns that the club raffle/auction off, would eventually be worth more too. Alas, as has been said before, Tony and the rest of the roster apparently prefer to play in the lazered jerseys, so who am i to argue! Perhaps a one off heavy-weight embroidered jersey could be released, devoid of sponsors, for Season Tickets only? I know "ST-only" is usually a touchy subject, but it would be one way to stop everyone just buying the one-off embroidered jersey and ceasing to buy the "seasonal" jerseys.

Hi All,
A lot of the players like the lighter weight shirts because they don't get too hot, only problem with them is they don't stand up to much checking, Oh wait a minute they should last two seasons at the contact made in this league ;D

Stevie even got his Mum to check his room at home to see if he had one lying about I could have during his time at Storm.... Talking of Stevie Lyle's mum .... Lucy and I were sat in the bar after a game in the old Cardiff Rink on a table with a man and woman. We started talking to them and when we said we were from Manchester she said her son Stephen used to play there. Now I know Stevie is short for Stephen but it never twigged who she was talking about. She kept saying things about him and I could tell Lucy knew who she meant but I kept thinking 'Stephen?' I was really puzzled and still hadn't got a clue so eventually I had to say 'sorry but who are you talking about?' I was shocked and felt so stupid when she said Stevie Lyle. Next time I saw Stevie I told him about it and he was laughing saying his mum always calls him Stephen!!
